“Luke is someone we’ve watched make incredible choices over the past few years with his shorts, and we knew we wanted to be part of what he’s creating.”
— Tara Ansley, co-owner of Fangoria

Luke Barnett currently recurs on two of the most critically acclaimed shows on television: AMC's DARK WINDS and AppleTV+'s FOR ALL MANKIND. Up next, he will star in lead roles in Joe Lynch's BUZZKILL for Bleeker Street, Noam Kroll's JACK & CHRISTINE opposite John Hawkes, and Josh Caldwell's FAUNA opposite SEVERENCE breakout Jen Tullock. Recent appearances include the drama feature SUNFISH, which premiered at Sundance, and Peacock's highest-rated comedy, THE BURBS, opposite Keke Palmer.

A talented multi-hyphenate, Barnett's short film, THE CROSSING OVER EXPRESS, which he wrote, directed, and starred in, went viral on X (formerly Twitter) and became one of the most talked-about short films of the last decade. It's now being developed as a feature. He's in post on a follow-up short, GOODBYE, MONSTER, produced by Fangoria Studios and co-starring Patton Oswalt, with a score from Bear McCreary.

Other recent credits include the lead in TEACHER'S PET opposite Barbara Crampton and roles on NCIS: LOS ANGELES, 911: LONE STAR, TAPAWINGO opposite Jon Heder, and TONIC with Lori Petty. He co-starred in the acclaimed Christian film industry satire FAITH BA$ED opposite Jason Alexander, Lance Reddick, and Margaret Cho, which he also wrote and produced.

On the writing side, Barnett recently set up projects with Todd Garner's Broken Road, Mike Flanagan's Red Room, and Leonardo DiCaprio's Appian Way. Recent producing credits include the Angus Cloud-led thriller YOUR LUCKY DAY, which premiered at Fantastic Fest to a 100% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes score before hitting Netflix’s Top 10 and LOITERING WITH INTENT, starring Academy Award winners Marisa Tomei and Sam Rockwell. His first film was FEAR, INC, which premiered at Tribeca. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two children and is very, very tired.
